Orio is a small fishing village with less than 5,000 inhabitants. It is, however, very lively, with a high birth rate, bustling nightlife and many restaurants famous throughout the region for their besugo a la parrilla (grilled sea bream).
Nevertheless, the first thing people usually associate with Orio is its rowing tradition because Orio is also home to the club that has achieved the most victories in the fixed seat category.
